PIPI burns - a strange one

Michal(7.7.2007, 5:30)

Hi, (apologies for the English but I’m in the US)

Not sure that I’m in the right place. If not, I would appreciate if you could direct me to the relevant one.

Anyway, my daughter is 5 years old. In the last 8 months she’s been suffering from a very strange phenomena:

Every few weeks, without any consistency, she wakes up in the middle of the night and complains that her PIPI burns. Very quickly she is screaming kicking her legs out of burns. The strange thing is that: 1.when it happens it comes and goes in waves (straggling for 15 sec’ and then relax for 20-30 sec’); 2. In the next morning there’s no sign of what happened at night; and 3. as I mentioned, the frequency of those occasions is inconsistent.

To ease her pain/burn we tried a warm bath which relieves it a little bit. I tried some cream but figured that it’s not external. Eventually we just give her ACAMOLI and after 20 minutes she can get back to sleep.

Her doctor examined her after one of these occasions and we took an urine test which was OK. Actually other than that the doctor is quite helpless. Options that she mentioned to me include masturbating (not that I don’t believe my 5 years old may be masturbating but don’t understand the connection) and muscle contractions out of a dream.

To be honest, I take into consideration the option of manipulation in the middle of the night, but still if one saw her screaming…I’m just not ready to end it with that.

Another option I thought about is TOLAIM. Do you think it’s relevant?

In any case, where should I start, what tests should I make and what may be helping?

Would appreciate any thought.

Thanks

Michal
